Trump abruptly halts his speech at a North Carolina rally, requesting a doctor

Former President Donald Trump made an unexpected and urgent appeal for medical assistance during his rally in Asheboro, North Carolina.

In a notable moment, he paused his speech after noticing that an audience member appeared to need immediate help. This rally was significant as it marked Trump’s first outdoor event following a shooting incident at his campaign gathering in Pennsylvania the previous month, and the atmosphere shifted dramatically when he observed a disturbance among the crowd.

In a show of solidarity, Trump joined in the applause from the audience before stepping away from his bulletproof podium, accompanied by Secret Service agents. He approached the individual receiving assistance, offering a hug and comforting words before returning to the podium, where chants of “We love Trump” erupted. According to Newsweek, the Secret Service reported that the situation was related to heat, and the individual received prompt attention from EMTs, with a spokesperson confirming that the attendee was “fine” afterwards.

This incident comes in the wake of a tragic event at a Trump rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, where a 20-year-old assailant opened fire, resulting in one death and injuries to Trump and several others. The shooter was neutralized by a counter-sniper, and the FBI is currently investigating the incident as an assassination attempt. Meanwhile, Trump’s rally in North Carolina, held at the North Carolina Aviation Museum & Hall of Fame, was a pivotal event in a key battleground state. The rally featured a speech from his vice-presidential pick, Ohio Senator JD Vance, as recent polls indicate North Carolina is a highly competitive state in the upcoming 2024 presidential election. Vice President Kamala Harris also campaigned in the state just days earlier.

In a show of support, the Texas GOP praised Trump for his swift response, highlighting his concern for the well-being of his supporters. “Trump paused his entire rally to ensure that an audience member was alright after cries for a doctor emerged from the crowd. What a truly admirable individual,” the Texas GOP stated on social media.

Putin threatens that if Ukraine's long-

Putin  threatens  that  if  Ukraine's  long-range  missile  limits  are  eased,  Russia  will  be  "at  war"  with  NATO. Vladimir Putin, the president of Russia, has issued a warning, stating that Moscow will interpret NATO's approval of Ukraine's use of longer-range missiles to attack within his nation as the bloc's direct involvement in the conflict. Putin's remarks coincide with the notion that, more than two years after Russia's invasion, the US and Western officials are more amenable to the prospect of removing limitations on Ukraine's use of US-supplied long-range weaponry, something Kyiv has vocally advocated for. Putin said to reporters on Thursday that "this will indicate that NATO countries—the United States and European countries—are at war with Russia." If this is the case, we will respond appropriately to the threats posed to us, keeping in mind the shift in the conflict's fundamental nature. U...

Telegram - CEO's arrest.

Telegram will now provide law authorities with some bad actor info following the CEO's arrest. Telegram, a messaging app, has made some additional safety and user privacy concessions following the arrest of CEO and founder Pavel Durov in France last month. French prosecutors detained and questioned Durov over alleged illegal behaviour on the platform, including trafficking and gang activity, as well as the company's purported refusal to turn over investigation-related data. Later, after the investigation was completed, he was freed from police custody with a $5.56 million bail. The probe spurred discussion about online criminal conduct and free speech, but the authorities' worries were not entirely unexpected. Thanks in significant part to encryption technology and assurances of user privacy, the app has gathered over 950 million users over the years. After being apprehended, Telegram declared that Durov had "nothing to conceal" and found it "ridiculous...
